A Reference Model Assisted Adaptive Control Structure for Maglev Transportation System

Maglev transportation system is become a hot topic for researchers because of the distinctive advantages, such as frictionless motion, low power consumption, less noise, and being environmentally friendly. The maglev system’s performance gets sufficiently influenced by control method magnetic levitation dynamic performance, which critical component system. Magnetic Levitation System (MLS) group unstable, nonlinear, uncertain, electromagnetically coupled practical application. Control objective this study to design position stabilizing strategy under extreme uncertain parametric conditions using reference model governed stabilizer nonlinear adaptive structure. After successful tuning with without time-varying payload disturbance, tracking-error dynamics are obtained in presence both matched mismatched types uncertainties. Next, close-loop stability theorem formulated Lyapunov analysis get constraints, parameter update laws, law. Numerical simulations performed high range violations check design’s efficacy. robustness confirmed comparing results approach. MLS recovery settles within safe limits few seconds proposed methodology. However, controller faces permanent failure MLS.
